First things first, in case you didn't play Metroid Prime 2 and never saw the Light Suit, this is indeed Samus, and she is in, you guessed it, the Light Suit. Which is my favorite Suit she has ever had. Generally speaking, I tend to go for stuff that is light or dark element. Way cooler than boring old air, earth, wind, and fire.

Now, with her identity established, I gotta say, I did not much care for drawing her. She kinda lacks emotion with the helmet on, but if you draw her head the size it would be under the helmet it lookes tiny. Not to mention that her shoulders are implied to be so incredibly wide for her arms to work in that suit. So, I tried to sorta play down the small head super-wide shoulders thing, because even if that isn't entirely accurate, I preffered pictures of her that were more, let's say, lady-shaped. Still, it was a pain trying to communicate a relatively subtle pose along with at least some of the bulky suit look and all the details, so I doubt I'll draw Samus again anytime soon if left to my own devices.
