I had a hard time deciding which Pokemon girl to draw for this, at first I wanted to draw May, but then Hikari was brought to my attention and I couldn't decide. In the end, I decided to be all cutting edge and finally do some fanart of a character who's game hasn't even been released here yet. In this case, that game would be Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, which set a new Pokemon game record for the superiority it's female trainer to its male trainer. Young Ocelot just doesn't do much for me.

Unfortunately, being so ahead of the curve, I really have little idea of Hikari's personality aside from that she made poor choices when packing for her trainer journey in the anime. Hope this picture doesn't turn out to be all wrong. Speaking of the anime, I specifically chose to draw her game-style because I liked the long scarf and the big dufflebag. I'm not really feeling her snowboots-like footwear, but whaddaya gonna do?
