Artist's Comments

A good piece of Bowser fanart is something I've wanted to do for a long time, since he's my favorite Nintendo character, and now I've finally gotten around to it. Call me crazy, but I admire how he just keeps trying to kidnap Peach and beat Mario no matter how many times he loses. That is truly courage in the face of adversity, even if he is technically the badguy. But really, can you blame him for kidnapping Peach? Recent games have shown that if anything he's just lonely, and Peach is a severe hotty.

Anyway, I figured I'd draw a picture of him actually kidnapping Peach, because that wasn't ever shown in the old games. Specifically, I chose the kidnapping from Mario 3, because there was a picture of him in the instruction manual wearing a cape and I thought Bowser looked extra cool in a cape. Unfortunately, I couldn't find said picture, so I had to go off of memory.

You know, I've seen the original picture with him in a cape, and I didn't think it really looked right on him.

You, however, made it work fantastically. :w00t: I love the expression on his face, too.
