I haven't seen a lot of Malon fanart out there, and since she's my favorite Zelda series girl, I decided to do what I could to help the situation.

This was probably the single picture I had the clearest mental image of once I decided to draw it, Malon's overall color scheme seemed just right for an autumn afternoon type of scene, and I love the flowing hair blowing in the wind motif. The only part that took much thought was the cucco. At first I couldn't think of what she was doing, but then I remembered how those cuccos always get out and decided that taking a lost cucco back home was both a good purpose and kinda cute.

Inked lines, scanned and colored in Photoshop CS

Yay! Prettyful! The colors turned out wonderful, as always. I really get the feel of the wind in the autumn time... so peaceful!

The days pass by and change,
without us even realizing how blue the sky really is.
Thanks again. Considering all the positive color feedback I've been getting on these various recent pictures, I guess I can conclude that that is the single area of art I need the least additional practice in.
Chiken ^^ no I know thats not the poit of the picture. Yes it dose have a nice peaceful touch. Its a perfect picture for Thanksgiving. You have the chiken and colorful leaves. You really have the hang of it when it comes to coloring neatly. For the life of me I can't color it that neatly know matter how clean the sketch is with or with out the wacom and shading is a killer. grumbles I need more lessons but anways very nicly done ^^ and Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm glad you like the coloring, I'd let you in on the secret if there was one, but I think it's just a matter of practice. Lots of oil and watecolor painting, not to mention Photoshop and Painter time, and lots of studying of the pictures I think have good coloring to figure out what Takehito Harada and some other artists do so right. I don't even have any fancy Photoshop tricks going on, one layer for lines, one for Malon's colors, and one for the background, then lots of use of opacity jitter. If it helps, I probably end up coloring every bit of it two or three times by the time I've got all the colors just how I want them.
She looks so beautiful and I love the soft colors :aww:

well that helps thank you ^^ I mean I am not at a compleat loss when it comes to coloring. I color useing the same kina methoud you described up there but I don't always (like never) realy take my time ^^! so of corse the coloring is very smiple and has mistakes. Plus I haven't been doing it for a long time but I do know the basics thanks to a photoshop class over the summer. Very few drawings like lord Sasori witch I took a week on turn out good coloring wise. The only good news out of this I have learned art takes time thats how you get good at it. ^^ in way I think I just fixed my own problem lol
